Reconstruction of the Dermal Epidermal Junction with TargetCool and Exosomes
The dermal-epidermal junction (DEJ) plays a crucial role in maintaining skin integrity. Age-related changes in DEJ proteins like collagen, integrin, and laminin contribute to increased skin fragility. Exosomes, with their capacity to synthesize collagen and elastic fibers, hold promise as therapeutic agents.
This study investigated the effects of delivering exosomes to the DEJ using TargetCool Boosting Mode. Ultrasound imaging before and immediately after confirmed precise exosome delivery via TargetCool. A comparative biopsy before and after 8 weeks validated epidermal thickening and physiological DEJ alterations. This research highlights the potential of exosome application, bolstered by targeted delivery, for enhancing skin health.
